DescriptionOne of a pair of serving spoons, see 1993.485.1. The handle is in the shape of a realistically chased branch with small leaves attached. The bowl is in the form of two over lapping, realistically chased leaves.
Marks
Maker's Mark: Illegible. Warden's Mark: a crowned T, possibly 1759 (Appraisal list), also possible 1735-1736 or 1782-1783. Other: a small animal's head, possibly the discharge mark for 1732-1738: a dog's head (Dennis, 165); a large animal's head, possibly a griffon (?).
