A seated shepherd offers with outstretched arms a floral garland to a shepherdess seated at his side who pulls away. Three sheep lie at her
feet; a hat decorated with a bow on its turned-up brim and a crook lie beside the shepherd’s extended right leg. A hollow tree trunk rises
at the center behind the two figures and terminates at the shoulder height of the woman; it is decorated with the stylized bark of a palm
tree. Vines spring from shorter tree trunks on either side of the central trunk.
