DescriptionMedium-sized shouldered jar with pointed base. Red-slipped and polished on exterior. Surface treatment worn off over much of vessel. Rim missing. 5 sherds including base. The body of the jar is handmade, probably through coiling, while the shoulder and above was made on the slow wheel or similar turning device.
ProvenanceFrom Giza, G 4140 A. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
