The pink silk surface of the background is almost entirely worn away, leaving exposed the brownish linen warp threads. The design which consists of an ogival framework enclosing pairs of parrots, back to back, and conventional plant forn, is woven with linen thread wound with much tarnished gilded gold-beater’s skin. Much pieced. The design has been filled out with a water-color sketch. 1/2 twill samit with find red silk and metallic thread wefts.
