DescriptionThis small jar is made of a fairly coarse redware. The body expaneds outward from a small splayed foot to a wide mouth with a straight rim. Modeling is somewhat irregular. The rim is blackened.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 1804. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
