DescriptionThis small globular redware jar has an almost spherical body and a slightly everted rim. The rim shows some signs of blackening. There exterior of the body exhibits traces of burnished red slip or wash.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, Tumulus III, Hal A. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
