DescriptionThis small, nearly squat globular jar has a rounded base, a very short neck, and a rolled rim with several chips/fragments broken off and missing. The base was shaped in part through the use of a straight edge.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, Tumulus IV, grave 441. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
