DescriptionOf silver, with large deep bowl; the crudely cast handle is plain and flat on the back; twisted strand for shank with knotted scrollwork at base and "beehive" terminal. Inscribed on under side of bowl along outside edge, in dotted lines: "Klaus Thoomes is gebooren den 2 April 1800".

Assay mark for 1807-1810: "O" below "-" (crown?) on back of handle above rat-tail.
