DescriptionLinen canvas ground, embroidered with silver and polychrome silk yarns in stem and tent stitches. On a silver ground, a large, virtually symmetrical plant bearing a variety of blossoms and leaves. A pair of snails on side stalks of plant; scattered over background are flies and caterpillars. Narrow borders top and bottom showing alternate white and shaded blue chevrons. Silver tarnished; silks faded. Narrow black frame; glazed.
