Square shawl of wool twill tapestry with deep red main field surrounded on four sides by narrow stitched border of obliquely placed repeating boteh motifs composed of flowers in white, blue, yellow, red, pink and black; narrow guard band with design of floral meander; in two corners, diagonally opposite each other, there are separately pieced and stitche boteh motifs.
