An 8-pointed Kashan tile with a luster-painted inscription of verses in the border. The central star shows two ducks or geese walking from left to right, the left-hand one having incompletely emerged from the border. Plants are growing around the birds, and there is a small fishpond below.

Bought by Denman Waldo Ross from Kelekian, in Cairo, for 6 pounds. Given to the MFA Mardh 2, 1911.
