Obverse: Taras astride dolphin left; drawn-back on dolphin’s back; right arm flexed and raised, hand raised with palm facing; nude; upper body facing.
Below scallop shell.
Inscription in Greek around.
Reverse: Taras as founder of oikist seated left; four legs of stool shown, drawn in perspective; in outstretched right, kantharos held by handle; in drawn-back left, distaff upward against arm; Taras leaning forward; ends of himation hanging from left thigh in dovetail folds; right leg raised, resting on foot stool set parallet with foot; left leg drawn back.
