A traditional history records that this table "Belonged to Mrs. Hawkins' grandmother, Mary Bethune Hunt in Watertown 'always known as the Warren Table from the fact that General Warren ate his breakfast from it, his last, in Watertown, just before Bunker Hill'"; 1913, gift of Gen. John P. Hawkins in the name of his wife Jane Bethune Hawkins (Accession Date Nov. 6, 1913).
