Upturned, midrib handle with round tip has stem that is rectangular in section. Rounded drop with pronounced, slender rattail is swaged on back of elliptical bowl.

Inscription

"M + C" engraved in shaded roman letters on back of handle tip.

Markings

Marked in roman letters "R [bullet] LANG" within a rectangle, on back of stem.

Provenance

Original owner unknown. The donor was a silver collector, who acquired the spoon sometime in the twentieth century.
