A vase in red earthenware, covered in a dark brown slip, with fine decoration in white slip, and with a transparent glaze. Decoration was carried out after dividing the surface with double lines of white slip, into five registers. The topmost of these shows bold vertical lnes, below which, at the neck of the vase, is a narrow band of chevrons. Next is a wide border design using pendent half-circles containing half-flowers. Most of the decoration is contained in the next register, which repeats the same design four times. It shows a bird perched in an asymmetric bouquet of flowers. These are carefully drawn, using sgraffito through to the dark ground, but rather generic. Finally, the area narrowing towards the foot is again decorated with strong vertical strokes suggesting leaves.
