Straight tapering sides, moulded base with stamped ornament above. Flat cover, rim shaped at front, wavy lines on hinge, scroll handle and corkscrew purchase, mask-on-shield tip. Broken at cover rim.
Marked three times on cover and once indistinctly near rim IN in heart, worn at base of punches.
Descended in the family to Dr. George Clymer; 1939, lent by Dr. Clymer to the MFA; 1956, by inheritance to his wife; 1957, gift of Mrs. Clymer to the MFA. (Accession date: Jan 10, 1957)
