DescriptionGround: glazed cream linen cloth; small holes. Plain selvedge at right. Design: tapestry band. Imitation Kufic inscription: red tails of letters form narrow border (.005 wide). Blue silk shafts of tall letters (.025 high) divide band into compartments, each filled with pairs of affronted birds in cream linen on red silk ground. Above and below birds is narrow scroll border of yellow and black silk. Blue silk band (.005 wide) at top and bottom. See note for 32.117.
