Ground: fine natural linen gauze (in cloth weave). At top are fringe (.015 wide) and two narrow silk stripes, one of red and one of yellow. At right is plain selvedge pulled very tightly. Piece missing in center. Worn and stained many holes in smaller fragment. Design: silk tapestry band. Formal Naskh pious inscription (.02 high) yellow on pinkish-red ground; ornamented with narrow blue stems edged with white. Inscription: “Victory from God” (repeated). See note.
