Warp of cream-colored wool; weft of wool. Design shows a female bust with a neutral orange halo, green chin, large eyes and brown hair on a dark brown ground with a V-shaped ancanthus foliage framing a candelabra floral motif; flanking the acanthus branches are flowers framed by linear circular branches. Similar to 30.685a; the two fragments were most likely part of the same band which probably decorated a hanging. The female figure may represent a personofication or an allegorial figure; the shape of the floral motifs suggests Sassanian influence (?).
