Rectangular, paneled ends; concave shoulder, high in front and shaped rim. Paneled spout, high shaped handle. Lustred lavender edges; fruit bunches on shoulder. Dark blue body with gilt sprigs and medallion of flowers on white body on sides. Rectangular domed cover with knob and matching decoration. Time crock on bottom, chip on rim of pot.
19th century, Zenas Nickerson (b. 1801 - d. 1882) and Priscilla Eldredge Nickerson (b. 1801 - d. 1868), Chatham, MA; probably by decent to Kate Augustina Gould (b. 1871 - d. 1930), Chatham; 1933, bequeathed by Kate A. Gould to the MFA for use in the Chatham Historical Society (accession date: July 20, 1933); December 19, 2013, deaccessioned by the MFA for transfer to the Chatham Historical Society.
