Obverse: Head of deified Alexander the Great to right with Ammon’s horns, broad band in hand, and hair covered by elephant skin (aegis also?).
Reverse: Athena Alkidemos advancing to right, spear in raised right hand, shield on left arm; she wears crested Attic helmet, chiton girded over overfold, and a scarf with “swallow tail” ends which passes forward from the back, is drawn up and thrown back again over both shoulders.
