DescriptionLarge piece of brocade composed of three widths of material, light purple ground with self figure of delicate serpentine stems and powdered leaves with bright polychrome silk brocaded flowers in small bunches springing right and left; a number of brownish stains.
ProvenanceSaid to have been part of a dress belonging to Mary Jackson Wendell, about 1760.
