Pieces of a dress. Ivory damask ground, brocaded with polychrome silks. Damask ground, brocaded with polychrome silks. Damask pattern shows vertical undulating floriate and foliate vines, some with brocaded blossoms or blossom centers. Super-imposed on this are scattered sprigs or small bouquets, all brocaded. Flat selvedges showing pair of narrow red stripes. Note: certain brocaded blossoms show wefts bound in fine twill. Brown stains and spots. Hemmed, cut and seamed in places. a) several panels sewn together b) single panel.
