DescriptionFragment of silk brocaded in polychrome silks on a grayish-green satin ground. Chinoiserie design of two different scenes of two men in a boat, one a rowboat and the other a sailboat. Fantastic trees and flowers, frogs, butterflies. Composed of a number of fragments. Pencil lines along edges. Soiled, stained, worn, blacks rotted out, holes. On part of one side a twill selvedge. Held together in places with white basting stitches.
