Fragment of tunic found in a cemetery near Medinet el Fayoum, Egypt. Ground: brown silk warp (originally bluish green). Design: of birds, animals and griffons, and delicate conventionalized vines growing from vertical stems, woven with lighter weft. Fragmentary, brown and brittle, but part of 31.11 which has retained its color. See notes filed. (Seljuk period)
