DescriptionCoarse linen plain weave embroidered with motifs consisting of three 8-petaled flowers in gold vases in polychrome silk and metallic threads. Condition: 3 food stains and several smaller discolorations.
ProvenancePurchased about 1922 by the mother of Dr. Zekiye Suleyman Eglar in Tiflis, Georgian Republic, where she lived; inherited by Dr. Eglar from her mother's estate prior to World War II and brought to the USA; inherited in 1983 from Dr. Eglar's estate by her nephew, Fazal Chowdhry, the donor.
