DescriptionReversed copy of van de Velde's view of the Haarlem town hall, which was originally published in Samuel Ampzing's Beschryvinge ende lof der stad Haerlem in Holland (Haerlem: By Adriaen Rooman, MDCXXVIII [1628]). The MFA has a complete copy of Ampzing's treatise (CNA library, DJ411.H2 A526 1628), as well as a separate impression of the original print (accession number P7445).
