DescriptionRed aniline-dyed wool ground. Design of stripes of fret-like ornaments and elongated diamonds in white and light aniline green. Pinkish red wool tassels on the ends. Water damage has caused dyes to run.
ProvenanceBetween about 1885 and 1898, probably acquired by John Ware Willard (b. 1859 - d. 1914), Brookline, MA [see note]; 1912, gift of John Ware Willard to the MFA. (Accession Date: November 7, 1912)
