DescriptionTwo fragments, joined. Irregularly shaped pieces, together show parts of two design repeats. On natural ground, engraved design printed (copperplate or roller) in cobalt blue. Shows sailing ships attacking an oriental port; the town returns the fire. Above, at left, an exploding bomb; at right, another explosion or a thunder cloud. Selvedge on left edge of each piece. Cotton slightly browned.
