DescriptionFrench pink silk taffeta woven with bands of pink and white flowers and other motives in garlands and elliptical compartments. Fitted bodice, deeply pointed front and back, with straight laced closure up back center; low round neck trimmed with narrow bobbin lace; short gathered sleeves trimmed with pink and white floral band and different narrow bobbin lace; a ruffled band, to match sleeves, encircles upper bodice. Skirt full all around; trimmed near bottom with two wide flounces of banded silk; above this, a gathered band of pink taffeta trimmed on each edge with a third bobbin lace. Stained, holes. Made for Mrs. Cecil Caverly of Lowell.
