DescriptionThe design of large leaf forms. Enclosing clusters of fruit, growing from an undulating stem, is woven with deep blue velvet and gold thread (yellow silk wound with silver gilt). A secondary stem bearing fruit, flowers and leaves can be distinguished against the background which is woven with gold. The velvet is powdered with loops of gold thread. The whole piece is very much worn. Edged with modern gimp, and with fringe at the bottom. Lined with blue linen.
