Fragment of large closed vessel. Light on Dark Ware. Buff clay with triangular lattice pattern. Pencil marking: “N dump” referring to North Trench where over 20,000 sherds were packed in an unstratified pit distinct from the architecture of the town. Whole vessels were not found. This and probably all markings are in the hand of Elizabeth Hall Dohan with the possible exception being the marking on the ripple pattern cylindrical jar fragment.
Probably from Gournia; accessioned by MFA as Source Unknown, March 25, 1992
