Circular medal with a square cut-out at center, commemorating the Vienna Kunstlerfest.

Obverse: Two figures dressed in Asian costume standing in interior with a “D” above a two-headed eagle emblem below.

Reverse: Two Asian dragons with a emblem at center; and inscribed at proper left in German but in a front resembling Asian calligraphy.

Inscription

Reverse: Inscribed at proper left, written top to bottom and right to left "[ ]SCH[ ]AS/BALL/D[ ]IENER/KUNSTLER/HAUSES/29[or 24]FEB./189[or 4]2".
