In the center a man stands on the beach, looking out to sea. He rests on a walking stick. To his right another man is seated. To the seated man’s right a masted boat has been pulled onto the beach. It is anchored to the beach with a rope and stake. One man is standing in the boat, while another is climbing in/out.
A sail boat is sailing off shore. Two men are in the ocean between those on the beach and the sail boat.
Two other boats are on the horizon.
In the background, on the right, a castle/fort is visible. A town is visible in the distance. Hills can be seen behind the town.
Five gulls are in the air.
