Rectangular, painted in blue, ochre and yellow with the Emperor Augustus on a rearing horse holding a scroll, with buildings in the distance, the raised frame with scrolling foliage, the lower part inscribed DIVI.IVLI.CAES.AUG. Based on an etching by Matthaus Merian the Elder, after Antonio Tempesta, from the series “The First Twelve Roman Emperors.”

Inscription

Signed and dated in underglaze blue at lower center, on edge of frame, "DLF [Denis Lefebvre Fecit] / 1635"
