DescriptionWarp figured taffeta dress in three parts, taffeta striped blue and green with minute figure of small oval bud and tiny leaves, woven over blue stripe with extra maroon and yellow warps; bodice (a) high round neck, fitted to waist, buttoned down center front, short skirt below waist with pleated and self ruffle trimmed peplum in back, square yoke on bodice front, outlined by self ruffles; (b) skirt slightly flaring in front, much fullness at back gathered into waistband, longer in back to form short train, trimmed around bottom edge with six gathered bias self ruffles; (c) overskirt trimmed with self bias folds and silk fringe of knotted warp fringe.
