Partially fluted circular wine taster. The bottom is slightly domed and surrounded by raised circles. It is engraved with an image of St. Peter in a landscape. The applied handle is slightly curved and mushroom shaped with a circular ring grip underneath. It is engraved with scrolling foliage and a vase of flowers. The rim is engraved with P GVYONOT 1727(?) P MOREAUX.

Inscription

Maker's Mark: a crowned oval with a woman holding a child and a bunch of grapes, with LR beneath, Attributed to Louis Regnier (Helft, 347-348). Maison Commune: a crowned C. Charge Mark: 1750-1756: a crowned P (Helft, 352). Discharge Mark: 1750-1756: a fleur-de-lis (Helft, 352). Other: a crown on the rim.
