Manchu woman’s domestic semi-formal robe (pao) of blue silk slit tapestry ground with designs of vases of flowers and flowering branches in pink, yellow, green, brown, purple, red and white silk; edges of sleeves, neck and front of coat bordered with black silk satin band embroidered with butterflies and peony scrolls in white and shades of blue silk; main part of sleeve of white silk satin embroidered with floral medallions in green, red and blue silk; lined with pink silk damask.
