DescriptionStraight, drop-waisted sleeveless dress and jacket of off-white pineapple fiber (piña) cloth, with band of white piña cloth reverse-appliquéd with white cotton ("sombrado," or shadow appliqué) in scrolling pattern at hem; standing collar and cuffs of jacket of same appliqué work. Pintucks at dress bodice front and all around skirt yoke; row of covered buttons down front of bodice. Body of jacket and sleeves above the elbows are patterned in stripes formed by groups of pintucks.
