Dress of chiné taffeta with pink and yellow peonies on white ground, in two parts (bodice and skirt);
(a) bodice with wide low cut neck and elbow length sleeves of white finely fluted chiffon, bodice neckline and sleeve edges trimmed with white and black tulle, front hook and closure, boning
(b) bell shaped skirt with fullness pleated into waistband, longer in back to form train, center front edge trimmed with white taffeta rouching edged with lace, lined with cream colored plain weave silk, underskirt has a pleated edge with wide band of lace trim
(additional detached piece of chiné with seams is about 31” long and 9” high)
