Long sleeved collarless blouse of sheer black fabric patterned with foliate design and trimmed around placket with orange silk satin printed with a design of chrysanthemums and reembroidered in gold metallic thread; also trimmed at cuffs with Chinese silk satin, embroidered in polychrome design and tightly pleated. Rows of topstitching adorn the top yolk on front and back. Sleeves are pleated along entire length. Interior attached shoulder pads; unlined. Trimmed at collar and hem with silk plain weave. Closes at center front with 7 black plastic buttons. Labelled at left side seam: “BERGDORF / GOODMAN / ON THE PLAZA - NEW YORK” Space on label for name, date, and style number with now illegible writing in ink (name was “SHARF”).

Skirt of black patterned damask with heat-set pleats in straight and chevron pattern, wide elastic wasitband and center front panel of Japanese printed crepe in chrysanthemum pattern embroidered with gold metallic threads matching blouse. Unlined and unlabelled.
