Discover the history behind funerary objects found in the tomb of a governor during the MFA’s early 20th-century excavations in Egypt. In their exploration of this tomb’s artifacts, students explore Middle Kingdom beliefs about the afterlife represented in painting, sculpture, and hieroglyphic writing.
