Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen (USA, 1994, 113 min.).

An homage to the films of Frank Capra, this surreal comedy stars Tim Robbins as Norville Barnes, a dopey business school graduate who lands a job in the mailroom at an enigmatic corporation called Hudsucker Industries. Out of the blue, Barnes is promoted to president of the company as part of a scheme by ruthless board member Sidney Mussburger (Paul Newman). Certain that Barnes will mismanage the company, Mussburger hopes to take control. Unfortunately for him, Barnes invents a new product “for kids” that becomes a national sensation. Meanwhile, brassy reporter Amy Archer (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is determined to discover the truth about Barnes.
