From premodern anatomical studies to contemporary art, representations of the human body have long served as sources of inspiration, inquiry, and knowledge to artists and scientists alike. In connection with exhibition “Hyman Bloom: Matters of Life and Death,” explore Bloom's paintings of the human form within the contexts of medicine, aesthetics, and existential mystery.
