Hear from the teen curators as they describe how they created their exhibition of art by Black artists drawn largely from the Museum’s John Axelrod Collection. All of the work on view was selected and grouped by teens who are in the MFA’s paid internship programs (including Bloomberg, Becoming A Man (BAM), the BASE, STEAM, and the Teen Arts Council (TAC)). In an intensive workshop program with curators, the teen partners gained skills applicable to their experiences beyond the Museum. They developed the themes for each space, chose the objects, and created the related interpretation and programming.
