Occurs on Wednesdays
Join Reto Thüring, Beal Family Chair of Contemporary Art, in a close look at the reinstallation of the Museum’s Linde Family Wing. It marks a new chapter in the Museum’s thinking about contemporary art, re-contextualizing works from the permanent collection and showcasing artists that have received little attention in the past. Learn more about pivotal but under-recognized artists such as Frank Bowling, Sam Gilliam, and Carol Rama; look at recently acquired works by artists whose stars are rising; and see well-known figures in surprising and new constellations.
