Drop-In Art-making Activity: Real Photo Postcards

10 am–3 pm
Edward H. Linde (168), Herb Ritts (169), Clementine Brown (170) galleries

Create your own postcard inspired by “Real Photo Postcards: Pictures from a Changing Nation.” Join the photo line in Gallery 171 then head into Gallery 168 after your picture is taken to turn it into your own photo postcard to take home to keep or mail. Available while supplies last.

Mythical Power: Hero, Goddess, Sphinx in the Ancient World

Travel back in time to ancient Greece and Rome. Meet a famous hero, gaze on a powerful goddess, and solve the mystery from a sphinx in this 25-minute interactive, family-friendly tour of the art of Ancient Greece and Rome galleries.

Meet at Sharf Visitor Center

Join us for this 25-minute interactive tour of the galleries of Dutch and Flemish art. Through art, explore the journeys of Dutch merchants who sailed across seas and oceans, joining trade networks that stretched from Asia to the Americas and Africa. This unprecedented movement of goods, ideas, and people, both free and enslaved, gave rise to what some have called the first age of globalization.
