In partnership with the Alianza Park Series, the MFA is providing free art materials to decorate a fabric square with fabric markers during beer and food garden pop-ups across the city. At the end of the summer, all the squares created across the city will be sewn into a flag or quilt to be displayed in Roundhead Brewing Company’s tap room—a testament to community across cultures and neighborhoods!
The Alianza Park Series takes place across seven Boston neighborhoods this summer. A menu of small-batch brews from the Latino-owned Roundhead Brewing is offered alongside farm-to-plate Caribbean American eats from Fresh Food Generation.
Also, while supplies last, the MFA is offering free paper quilling art kits on Sundays, 12–4 pm, during the Fenway neighborhood leg of the series, which takes place at Forsyth Park and operates Wednesday through Sunday July 3–7 and July 10–14. The beer garden and fabric square art making continue until 9 pm. MFA art materials will be available at other locations of the Alianza Park Series, too.
