In this online class, explore the fundamentals of drawing from observation by focusing on composition and value. Learn how to start a painting from prepping the surface to a finished work of art, through concepts of color mixing, blending, and application.

About the Instructor
YoAhn Han is a visual artist (painter) from the Republic of Korea. He currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his MFA 2D at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). YoAhn’s work has been shown internationally in the United States, South Korea, and the Netherlands. Recent solo shows include “My Princess, Bari” at ART MORA Gallery in New York and “Dreaming Universe” at the Institute of Russian Healing Arts in Boston. His work has also been exhibited at several group shows including Seventh Juried Exhibition at Prince Street Gallery in New York and ART BLOSSM Exhibition at ART MORA NJ. Besides shows, YoAhn Han has illustrated children’s books, “King Leon in Lybeth” and “Science of Psychic Defense.” He is currently teaching at MassArt and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He was born in Seoul Special City and raised in the city of ChunCheon, Gang-Won province in South Korea.
