Learn the fundamentals of drawing—line, gesture, shading, texture, color, proportion, and composition—with exercises intended to develop each student’s unique visual language. Students participate in a variety of fun and challenging drawing activities designed to help them recognize and unlock their personal artistic style. Students gain inspiration from the diverse array of artworks and explore themes of the MFA collections.

Please bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, utensils, water bottle, extra masks and picnic blanket.

About the Instructor

Brian Reddy is an artist and educator in the Boston metro area. He is a MassArt alumnus ('07 and '09) and is the drawing, painting, and digital art teacher at Wellesley High School in Wellesley, MA. Brian has created artwork in collaboration with numerous Boston companies and organizations. In the summer of 2016, he was one of sixty artists selected to participate in Street Pianos Boston, in which his piano was displayed in Statler Park in Bay Village for two weeks at the end of September.
